Makro Medical (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1996, as a supplier of diagnostic tests and other medical consumables. The considerable growth experienced since inception lead to the forming of a separate company, Makromed Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd, specialising in manufacturing and production of diagnostics.

Today we are proud to be recognised as a leading manufacturer of urine reagent strips, both for human and veterinary use, and a distributor of a range of rapid immunochromatographic (rapid) tests, and latex agglutination tests. An innovative product, originating from South Africa, has taken the medical world by storm and has brought relief to numerous patients battling with wounds of all kinds.
